Orange County Mining Co, nestled in the picturesque setting of North Tustin, CA, offers a truly memorable dining experience that masterfully combines classic American steakhouse fare with a distinctive mining-themed ambiance. This restaurant is a treasure trove for those craving expertly prepared steaks and hearty American favorites set against a backdrop that feels both warm and uniquely inviting.
As soon as you step inside, the underground mining décor envelops you in a rustic yet sophisticated atmosphere, where every detail—from the carefully curated lighting to the textured wood accents—transports you to a bygone era. The stunning panoramic views are the perfect complement, with some tables even offering glimpses of Disneyland fireworks, adding a sprinkle of magic to your evening.
The menu is a celebration of bold flavors and generous portions. Start your journey with the fresh and crisp Caesar Salad or explore the Farmer’s Market Soup & Salad Bar, where vibrant, seasonal ingredients shine. When it comes to entrées, the culinary craftsmanship truly stands out. The Slow Roasted Prime Rib melts in your mouth with its tender juiciness and rich, savory essence, while the Miner's Filly Filet Mignon offers a perfectly balanced, succulent experience that steak lovers will rave about. Surf and Turf lovers will delight in the Filet Mignon and Lobster Tail combo—a harmonious blend of land and sea that’s decadence on a plate.
Seafood aficionados are well-catered to with dishes like the Chilean Sea Bass, broiled to buttery perfection with lemon butter that enhances its naturally rich and flaky texture, and the Shrimp Scampi, which oozes garlicky goodness and a bright citrus finish. For those who cherish indulgent sides, the creamy Mac & Cheese and Baked Potato Ala Carte provide comforting, classic touches that round out the meal beautifully.
Dessert here is an experience unto itself. The Miner's Mud Pie is a luscious, chocolate-filled delight that perfectly balances richness with a hint of sweetness, while the Original Cheese Cake with Strawberry Topping offers a velvety, tangy finish that leaves you craving just one more bite. Pair your meal with a flight of Margaritas or sample a thoughtfully crafted cocktail like the Old Fashion to complete your evening.
Families are also warmly welcomed with the Lil’ Miner’s Plates that bring kid-friendly favorites such as BBQ Ribs, Mac & Cheese, and Chicken Fingers, each thoughtfully designed to satisfy younger palates without compromising on taste.

Orange County Mining Co isn’t just a steakhouse—it’s a destination where memorable moments unfold alongside exquisite dishes and breathtaking views. Make sure you discover this gem soon; as one visitor eloquently put it, the only regret is not having found it sooner.
Came for a family celebration; none of us had ever been here… From entrance to exit the service was exceptional. Lalla was extraordinarily spectacular! The ambiance/underground mining decor (awesome throughout,) killer views (!) … and then the food! Chicken Picatta, Prime Rib and Filet Mignon were exceptional. Our only regret is not being aware of this sooner!
We’re visiting from Las Vegas and brunch often, but this by far was the BEST experience we’ve had! Well worth the price—about $50 per person with bottomless mimosas. Our server, Belen, made everything even better. She wasn’t just attentive—she truly connected with her tables, built a rapport, and enthusiastically shared all the amazing things the restaurant has to offer. Honestly, Belen alone will be the reason we return! The food was absolutely delicious, too. Don’t sleep on this spot—you’ll regret missing it. Thank you for making our trip unforgettable!
The views from this restaurant are gorgeous. You can see Disneyland fireworks from the windows. It is nicely themed inside. They have an open salad and soup bar with chilled serving pans. The food was decently cooked and you get A LOT on your plate. It makes for a nice date night spot, but don't expect amazing food. You come for the great views and setting. Our server was exceptionally nice.
Please do yourself a favor & ask the waiter for no salt or light salt. My steak & rice was way over salted. (Wife's also)Spoiled what could have been a great meal. Mud pie is awesome. This has to be one of the best locations for an anniversary date night. Staff were great location & views amazing .
Our company hosted our annual holiday celebration at Orange County Mining Company in the Silverado Room, and the experience was outstanding from start to finish. The space itself was spacious, beautifully arranged, and felt both elegant and welcoming. We were able to customize the linen colors to match our corporate logo as well as the room layout to be best suited for our headcount; as well as the addition of activity tables that allowed us to incorporate fun team activities into the evening. The event team was excellent throughout the entire planning process; professional, responsive, and genuinely invested in making our event a success. A special shout-out to Christin, Cherokee, and our event captain, Kai, who ensured everything ran seamlessly and that our guests were well taken care of. The attention to detail, professionalism, and warm hospitality truly elevated our celebration. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue or team and would highly recommend Orange County Mining Company for corporate events or special occasions.
Dinner with a View We recently dined at this lovely restaurant, and the sunset view did not disappoint. The food was a mixed bag, but some highlights stood out. The filet mignonette was cooked to perfection and incredibly tender. However, when we requested horseradish, we were surprised to hear they didn't have any. The grilled salmon was fresh and expertly cooked, but the accompanying sauce was overly sweet and syrupy. Despite some minor missteps, we enjoyed our meal and the stunning view. Overall, a pleasant dining experience.
If you love Buffet meals come over and enjoy the soft and tender beef fajitas or pork stew in green Chile sauce and plenty of desserts also, to enjoy the view. If you have time make a reservation to make sure there is sitting for your whole party.
Our server was Steven. He was super sweet and informative. Especially it being our first time. He gave us really good service. We will definitely be coming back. Food was perfect. Drinks were perfect. My husband had the prime rib and I had the shrimp and scallops. 10 out of 10!
